Meet The President

Hi y’all!

 

I am Priya Nangia and I am a part of the B+ Foundation at Alabama because I want to be a part of the change in increasing the 4% of government funding that goes to childhood cancer. I spin for our B+ heroes in the hopes that one day we can find a cure!

I am the 2022 President of The B+ Foundation at Alabama! The B+ Foundation at Alabama is an organization in which we raise money and awareness for childhood cancer. Through our B+ Hero program, we have been able to give the gift of hope and support to families in the Tuscaloosa and Birmingham area. We believe that children should have the opportunity to grow up and just be kids.

 

Here at Alabama, we love spreading the “Live Like Andrew” motto in our meetings, activities, and around our campus. Our main event is our Spin-a-thon in the Spring, where we bike for six hours for children who cannot. Just last year, we raised $192,708.11 for our B+ Heroes! We are so excited to be aiming to raise our 2023 goal of $250,000! We spend the year fundraising to hit this goal through online campaigns, percentage events, cookouts, fitness events, and more!

 

With all we do, we could not do it without the fantastic, passionate, and hardworking students here at the University of Alabama. We are so grateful to work with such a great Executive Board, Morale Team, FOB+ Team, and the participants and organizations who have chosen to join us in the fight against childhood cancer! The B+ Foundation has changed our experiences as UA Students and we hope your experience is the same!
